Dear Mr. Henshaw Vocabulary Words


Dear Mr. Henshaw Vocabulary

1.      Mobile home –       a trailer used as a permanent home

2.    Duplicate –            being exactly like another (duplicate copies)

3.    Partition –             something like a partial wall that divides up a room or space

4.    Nuisance –             something or someone who is annoying

5.    Halyard –               a rope sued to lower or raise a flag

6.    Wrath –                great anger; rage

7.    Grove –                  a group of trees with open ground between them

8.    Prose -                   ordinary spoken or written language as opposed to poetry or verse

9.    Fad –                     something that is very popular for a short time; craze

10. Imitate –               to copy the actions, looks, or sounds of

11.  Enclosure –            something put into an envelope or package with something else
 
***Students will need to be able to write the definition in a complete sentence and use the words correctly in a sentence.
**Test is next Friday, Sept. 20th
