Something that is vast is so wide it would be hard to get across it.

A person’s stature is his or her height.
relentless
Someone who is relentless in trying to do something keeps at it and refuses to give up.
roused
If you roused someone, you woke up or alerted that person.
resourceful
A resourceful person is good at finding ways to solve problems.
intentions
Intentions are ideas about what a person means to do.
inadvertently
If you do something inadvertently, you do it without meaning to.

Civil Rights Biographies - Vocabulary

Civil Rights-Vocabulary
1. discrimination: to treat some people better than others for an unfair reason
2. prejudice: an unfair feeling of dislike for a person or group because of race, gender, religion, etc.
3. segregation: to separate or set apart from others
4. integration: combining of racial groups who were previously separated
5. suffrage: the right to vote in an election

6. rights: something that a person should be allowed to have, get, or do
