Henry & the Clubhouse Vocabulary Words


Henry & the Clubhouse Vocabulary

1.  skeptical – having or expressing doubt about something

2.  frolicked – to play or run about happily; skipped or

     scampered

3.  apologetically – in a manner that shows you are sorry

4.  wary – not having trust in someone or something

5.  disguise – to change the appearance so that people won’t

     recognize a person or thing.

6.  thoroughfare – a main road

7.  subscription – something you purchase to be delivered to

     you at certain times (Ex. newspaper or magazine)

8.  Frantically - having a lot of wild and hurried activity

9.  pester – to annoy or bother someone in a repeated way

10.  grimaced - a facial expression usually of disgust,

      disapproval, or pain

11.  trudged - walk slowly and heavily because you are tired

12. coaxed – to persuade by talking in a gentle and friendly

       way

13.  exasperate - to make someone very angry or annoyed

14.  hastily – to move in a hurried manner
